Maintaining Russian On Your Own: A Guide

by UCLA Russian Flagship graduates Sydney Heller and Yelena Muratova

This page offers suggestions for working on your own, mostly on line, to maintain and develop your knowledge of Russian at any stage.

While we include links to websites, our focus is to provide strategies for finding and working with materials. The more you find on your own, the more Russian you'll learn. With a few sterling exceptions, we recommend Russian-language sites created for native speakers rather than those created for language students.

Categories are organized roughly by skill and/or genre (writing is only slightly included), but it's impossible to keep everything strictly separate. Likewise, the strategies included for each section likely apply to materials outside of that section.
